Summer Salmon & Trout 2013

The Trout and Salmon fishing in Anderson was good the past few trips out. Mike came up from L.A. for a 2 day trip to fish for Trout 1 days then Salmon the one day. On the fist day we fished for Trout on the Sac. river in the Anderson area and did pretty good Mike hooked about 15 Trout and landed 6 of them ranging in size from 6 inches to 16 inches and 1 Steelhead that was about 18 inches long. On the second day we fished for Salmon out of Red Bluff ,we had a couple bites but were never able to keep a Salmon on the hook all the way to the net

It is Quality over Quantity early in the season for Salmon but buy Sept. the river will be loaded with fish and getting 10 or 12 bites a trip and hopefully landing  most of them will be the norm.
