June Trout 2014

Trout fishing on the Lower Sacramento River from Redding to Red Bluff is very good right now. We have been getting about about 30 strikes a trip and landing most of the fish hooked. Most of the Wild Rainbow trout we have been catching are 12 to 20 inches long and weigh 1 lbs. to 4 lbs. they are all very hard fighting fish large or small. What are they biting on. Fly’s, Plugs or Bugs. Shad fishing has started picking up. We practice catch and release on the Sacramento River. A camera is a must have on every trip.
