Sacramento River Trout fishing
from Redding to Red Bluff has been good the past couple mouths and
will remain so until the river muddies up from the 1st
rain. Trout fishing
has been awesome the past month with about 30 hookups a trip. Most of
the Wild Rainbow trout we have been catching are 12 to 22
inches long and weigh 1 lbs. to 6
lbs. they are all very hard fighting fish large or small. We practice
catch and release on the Sacramento
River.
A camera is a must have on every trip. What
are they biting on,
Fly fishermen are using small nymphs under an
indicator.
Bait fishermen are drifting worms or crickets. Plug fishermen are
using hot shots or flat fish.
Salmon
fishing season opened July 16th. Book your trip early for
the best available day.
