Spring Trout and Stripers 2015

Sacramento River Trout fishing has been good the past couple weeks even though the river is very low right now, flows are about 3000 cfs. Jeff and his wife and 2 kids fished with me last week on a 4 hour trip and landed 12 Wild Rainbows and lost that many also. The Trout have a soft mouth and will come of the hook easy if you fight them to hard. What are they biting on. Fly’s, Plugs or Bugs. We practice catch and release on the Sacramento River for the Wild Rainbows. The Striper fishing in the Colusa area has picked up and will only get better over the next month as more fish move up to spawn.
