Trout & Preseason Salmon july 2015

River Salmon fishing season opens July 16th. All the
reports from the Cal. Department of Fish and Game say there is a big
run of Salmon retuning this year to the Sac. River. Bigger than the 3
years previous. Looking forward to catching some big fish. The Wild
Rainbow Trout fishing has been great the past month. Drifting fly's,
bait or pulling plugs we have been averaging 20 Trout a trip most
fish are 10 to 14 inches but we will usually hook 1 up to 20 inches
per trip. Bruce and his Buddy fished last week on an afternoon trip
and landed about 15 Trout in 4 hours of fishing and one steelhead
that was about 4 lbs. Yes it was hot out but the river water temp. is
58 degrees, getting wet cools you off so fast, the cold water will
take your breath away.
