August Trout and Salmon 2015

SacramentoRiver Salmon fishing is starting to pick up, there are Salmon from Redding to the bay of the Sacramento river. The Salmon are hitting plugs early in the morning then switching to Roe after the sun comes up then back to plugs around 1:00 pm. The Trout fishing on the Sac. River between Redding and Anderson has been good all summer. Sanden and Willy fished with me last week and hooked about 20 fish and landed 8 of them. Sanden hooked what looked like a 20 inch rainbow as we watched it jump about 3 feet out of the water we could also see the lure come unhooked and it was flying strait back at us, Bummer, Long Distance Release. What are they biting on. Fly’s, Plugs or Bugs. We practice catch and release on the Sacramento River. A camera is a must have on every trip.
