Salmon fishing 9-28-15

SacramentoRiver Salmon fishing has improved greatly over the past week we are seeing a lot more fish rolling in the holes and the catch rate is about 2 fish a rod. Steve and John fished with me today and landed 3 Kings by 11:00 AM. We were done by noon. The Salmon are in very good shape right now, nice and bright. Drifting Roe or back bouncing Roe has been working for me.

Trout fishing is very good right now also. David and Michael fished with me last week and hooked about 50 Trout and landed 12 of them. The Trout are very hard fighting and have a soft mouth it takes a lot of finesse to land them. What are they biting on. Fly’s, Plugs or Bugs. We practice catch and release on the Sacramento River. A camera is a must have on every trip.
