Steelhead fishing Fall 2016

Sacramento River Salmon fishing fall run left a lot of questions of where did all the Salmon go? The story I am hearing is a lot of the Sacramento River Salmon that were trucked to the delta 4 years ago got lost returning this year, and went up the Feather River. The late Fall run of King Salmon should start showing up very soon. The fishing reports from the Sac. area are good for Salmon so hopefully the upper section of the Sac.
will be good for Salmon fishing this year.
Steelhead fishing has started picking up and the Trout fishing has been consistent. The last fishing trip out produced 10 Wild Rainbows and 3 Steelhead on a 6 hour trip.
What are they biting on? Fly’s, Plugs or Bugs. We practice catch and release on the Sacramento River for the Wild Rainbows.

October Salmon 2016

Sacramento River Salmon fishing has improved greatly over the past week. Just like last year. The past few trips we have been hooking some very big salmon and landing our fair share but a few have broke off. That’s just big fish. Salmon fishing should be good for the next 6 weeks. Trout fishing is great now and we just caught the first Steelhead of the season. What are they biting on? Fly’s, Plugs or Bugs. We practice catch and release on the Sacramento River for the Wild Rainbows.

The number of salmon fishermen out numbers the days we will have good salmon fishing this year. So for every one to have a Chance at catching a King Salmon we may need to mix fishing party's on some trips. If you want a private trip charter the boat for the day for $540.00
Thank you for understanding.
