Salmon, Trout 9-1-2017

Sacramento River Salmon fishing report is good with King Salmon in the Sacramento River From Anderson to he Delta in different stages of migrating up the Sacramento River to spawn. Back trolling plugs with a Sardine wrap on it or back bouncing Row has been working well for my clients to get there fish. The Salmon this year so far have been 8 to 20 lbs.I practice catch and kill for Salmon.
Trout fishing from Redding to Anderson has been good the past 2 months with about 30 hookups a trip. Most of the Wild Rainbow trout we have been catching are 8 to 18 inches long and weigh 1 lbs. to 6 lbs. they are all very hard fighting fish large or small. We practice catch and release on the Sacramento River. A camera is a must have on every trip. Fly fishermen are using small nymphs under an indicator. Bait fishermen are drifting worms or crickets. Plug fishermen are using hot shots.
